About Smith & Company Architects :: Terry D. Smith, AIA
Terry Smith AIA is founder and President of Smith & Company Architects (S&C). Prior to founding his firm in 1999, Mr. Smith served as Vice President of Architecture, Engineering and Construction Services for Texas Southern University and managed more than $100 million worth of construction projects in that role.
Prior to his tenure at Texas Southern University, Mr. Smith was Managing Principal with one of the country’s largest architectural firms. Additionally, Mr. Smith has served as Project Manager/Project Architect for a diverse range of project types and has a unique set of skills managing projects for colleges, universities, and school districts.
Mr. Smith is responsible for guiding a projects progress from concept to completion, assuring the highest level of design while integrating realistic budget, schedule and construction parameters.
