Jaguar Suites Student Housing

University of Houston - Victoria

The new 82,000 SF Jaguar Suites Residence Hall at University of Houston’s Victoria campus is the first ground up residence hall built for this component institution of 4,000 students. It has the capacity to house all sophomore students. Jaguar Hall, an existing converted hotel, is directly to the east of campus and currently houses freshman and a dining hall.

This three level structure includes 216 beds in 54 4-bedroom, 2-bath suites for residential student housing, as well as a new secured surface parking lot for over 250 cars. In addition, a 5,000 SF community learning and support facility is located along the main north entry and includes a fitness room, a multipurpose room, two large classrooms, a student lounge, study areas, and a computer lab.

The layout of the new housing facility is built to enhance and protect the pedestrian experience. Walkways connecting Jaguar Hall, Jaguar Suites, and the parking lot are designed to separate students walking around the campus from vehicles. A large courtyard in the center of Jaguar Suites will serve as outdoor recreational space with a pool and volleyball courts. The exterior of the facility was carefully designed to blend into the small town of Victoria aesthetic.
