Work Force Building 3rd Floor Laboratory Addition Southeast Campus

Houston Community College 

The Southeast Work Force project includes the build out of a 22,000 S.F. shell area space on the 3rd level of the existing South East Academic Building on the Houston Community College campus. This new area will provide the campus with additional classrooms, library and lecture areas. The build out scope included: 1 Computer Technology Classroom; 2 Standard Classrooms; 2 Entrepreneur classrooms; 1 Corrosion & Computer Classroom; 1 Corrosion Lab; 1 Logistic Classroom; 1 area Office Suites, 2 HVAC Classrooms and 2 Material Testing Labs.

1. Corrosion Teaching Lab
950 SF | 15 Student Stations; 1 Teacher Station | Equipped with a Safety Shower, Fume Hood, Biological Safety Cabinet, Water and Gas at each station & Fume Hood

2. Sample Prep Room
274 SF | Equipped with a Safety Shower, Fume Hood, Biological Safety Cabinet, Water and Gas at Fume Hood

3. HVAC Classroom
1,440 sf & 810 sf | 28 Student each; 1 Teacher | Learning to repair HVAC systems

4. Testing Lab A (for private research)
960 SF | 8 Testing Stations | Equipped with a Safety Shower, Fume Hood, Biological Safety Cabinet, Water and Gas at each station & Fume Hood

5. Testing Lab B (for private research)
1,230 SF | 10 Testing Stations | Equipped with a Safety Shower, Fume Hood, Biological Safety Cabinet, Water and Gas at each station & Fume Hood, Photo Imaging Dark Room
