The Villas at Eastwood
Harris County Housing Authority

Houston, Texas

This $23 million 200-unit new affordable housing apartment complex is separated by three separate buildings. Buildings 1 and 2 are 4 levels and house the leasing office, social services, and health services on the first floor in addition to living units on the upper floors. Building 3 is a 5-story building that houses administrative offices for the executive administration for the Harris County Housing Authority on the fifth floor as well as spaces for social services, health services, and a board room on the first floor. The 200 units include three floor plan types; two efficiency unit plans and a one-bedroom plan.

The project is located near downtown Houston and includes a new surface parking lot and other site work related to street widening, drainage, and new buried electrical lines. The exterior design includes high slope asphalt shingle roofs with a combination of adhered stone veneer, stucco, and Hardie siding on the exterior. Outdoor social spaces have been specifically reserved to serve the intended resident population.

This project is federally funded by the U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Department through the Texas General Land Office (GLO) and administered by the Harris County Community Services Department (HCCSD).
